2026 Candidate Showcase: 5th, 33rd & 47th Legislative Districts

The Covington Chamber of Commerce and Kent Chamber of Commerce invite community members to the 2026 Candidate Showcase, featuring candidates from Washington State's 5th, 33rd and 47th Legislative Districts.

This nonpartisan community event is designed to give voters an engaging, informative, and accessible opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking to represent our region.

This is not a traditional political debate.

Instead, candidates will participate in a lively, quiz-style showcase featuring timed questions and conversations around issues affecting businesses, families, and communities throughout South King County.

Topics may include:

• Public safety
• State budgeting and fiscal responsibility
• Government accountability
• Homelessness and community services
• Natural disaster preparedness
• Economic and business issues
• Workforce and community development
• Local community knowledge
• Other issues affecting the 5th, 33rd and 47th Legislative Districts

While the format will be engaging and accessible, the conversation will remain serious, respectful, and focused on helping voters better understand the candidates and their positions.

The Candidate Showcase is presented as a nonpartisan voter education event. The Kent Chamber of Commerce and Covington Chamber of Commerce do not endorse candidates through participation in this event.

All candidates will be provided a fair and equitable opportunity to participate.

Community members, business leaders, Chamber members, employees, residents, students, and anyone interested in learning more about the candidates are encouraged to attend.
