Marla L. Veliz

Marla Veliz has expertise in both teaching and education administration. She grew up in Seattle, Washington, graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in anthropology, and earned a master’s degree in both anthropology and education from the University of Chicago. She holds a Washington State lifetime continuing elementary secondary teaching certificate. Marla has been a special education administrator at New Horizon School since 1995. She manages the school's daily operations, student/parent concerns, curriculum, instruction, admissions, IEPs, and accreditation and approvals.
